Kamari Alexander, Esq.
Kamari Alexander grew up in the Bronx, New York and moved to New Jersey in high school. She received her B.A., magna cum laude from Spelman College in 1997 and her J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2000.
While in law school Kamari worked subsequent summers as a summer associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and Chadbourne and Parke LLP and accepted a position as a project finance associate in the New York office of Chadbourne & Parke LLP before leaving to start her own law practice until 2008. That year she turned to legal recruiting full time focusing on partner and group placements. Kamari has a wealth of experience moving individual partners, groups, associates and legal support personnel, assisting major firms expanding into new markets and leading teams of recruiters in strategic retained searches.
Kamari serves consultatively with the family business, The Black Cake Company, which has provided traditional Caribbean Black Cake and Rum Cake for 33 years. She and her husband have three sons ages 13, 12 and 8.
